John Hancock’s new Vitality program has certainly changed how we position life insurance planning for clients.
The opportunity to significantly lower premiums on a client’s policy and also provide entertainment, shopping, and travel discounts is something the industry has never seen.
So what is the catch? What does the client need to do in order to participate? They need to accumulate points – Vitality points to be exact.
How your clients can rack up Vitality points:
These Vitality points will be accumulated by completing certain Healthy living activities. The more points accumulated, the more great rewards and discounts the client can receive. John Hancock has made it pretty simple to accumulate a lot of points quickly.
First and foremost, the client can achieve points just by being physically active. John Hancock will provide a free FitBit, which can record physical activity the client does on a daily basis that will lead to Vitality points. Members can also earn an Apple Watch Series 3 for as little as $25.
Being physically active is not the only way the client can achieve Vitality points. They can also collect 500 points by completing an annual Vitality Health Review. They can get an annual Flu shot, dental screening, mammogram screening, pap smear screening, or colonoscopy screening to achieve points as well.
