Give That Exam An Encore
“Can we still use the same exam?”
Good news: in many cases, the answer may be yes.
Maybe a client recently placed coverage and is ready to add more. Or perhaps the original rate class missed the mark, and it makes sense to explore another carrier.
Either way, an existing exam may still have some life left in it—potentially saving your client time and another trip through the exam process.
For several carriers:
- Ages 0–70: Paramed, blood and urine specimens, and EKGs are often good for up to 12 months.
- Ages 71 and over: Paramed and blood and urine specimens are often good for up to 6 months. In some cases, EKGs may be good for up to 12 months.
Before starting over, let’s see what can be reused. Call the Underwriting Team today to explore the possibilities!
