New Training Requirements for California Life Insurance Representatives

Effective January 1, 2025, new training rules will apply to:
  • All life insurance sales (excluding term insurance)
  • All annuity sales
To comply with these changes:
  • Life insurance producers must complete a new 4-hour CE training course.
  • Annuity producers are required to finish a new 4-hour CE training course as well.

Failure to meet these requirements will result in application rejections. To avoid business interruptions, complete these courses prior to soliciting business in 2025.
